About This Spot

Stepping into MOSKAR Street Food feels like finding a quiet little gem tucked gently away from the bustling heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. This small, intimate spot hums with a welcoming warmth, inviting you to slow down and savor moments that unfold naturally. The pace here is unhurried, letting the richness of the Adriatic breeze and the soft clinks of glasses carry you into a relaxed rhythm.

The atmosphere is cozy without feeling crowded, with just enough buzz to remind you that you’ve found a beloved local secret. It’s a place where the attentive service feels personal, as if you’re welcomed into a friend’s kitchen rather than a typical restaurant. Here, the focus is on shared experience—whether it’s the exchange over a seafood platter brimming with treasures from the sea, or the comforting gravity of a well-crafted stew and delicate gnocchi that seem to carry the essence of the region.

MOSKAR’s menu doesn’t shout for attention but rather whispers stories of Croatian coastal flavors and the thoughtful simplicity of each dish. The flavors stretch from rich truffle-infused gnocchi to the delicate saltiness of fresh oysters and the subtle smokiness of grilled octopus, each bite balanced and sincere. It’s one of those places where even the smallest starters—like tuna tartare or marinated anchovies—offer a refreshing sense of place.

For those quiet moments away from the main streets, MOSKAR invites you to pause and enjoy food that resonates with Dubrovnik’s soul, accompanied by a modest glass of wine or a local beer. Instead of bustling crowds, here you find the peaceful joy of both familiar comforts and small discoveries, served with a smile and an unmistakable feeling that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

This place is tiny yet amazing. Simple dishes done to perfection. So good I may have to go tomorrow too. I had the marinated anchovies, mussels, and eggplant with a lovely glass of Sauvignon. Service was attentive and I enjoyed every bite!! Went back the next night for their truffle gnocchi and it was so fluffy with a beautiful sauce. Seriously go here!!

Tucked away on one of Dubrovnik's tiny side streets in the Old Town, we happened across MOSKAR, and were warmly greeted and seated. We had probably one of the tastiest seafood sharing platters, so good, we ordered it twice. But the star of the show was the beef stew gnocchi. Oh my goodness. So good. This is a great spot for some delicious food. It's only small and gets busy quick.

Fantastic, is my best summary. Great service, great tasting food. I had the tuna tartare as a starter, amazing taste and good to start with something served cold. As a main I had the Macaroni (Dubrovnik style) with beef, again with amazing taste. I also had two local beers, both really good. Overall a fantastic lunch which I would highly recommend.

Risotto (Seafood) was very flavourful and the fish balls we’re surprisingly yummy! Location is a flight of stairs away from Stradun, quieter than most restaurants so enjoy the peace while you dine. Pricing is average for the location. You’ll get used to the cost of dining if you’re within the wall.

Fantastic food. Friendly fast service. We had the traditional beef(Pasticada) in gravy, pork skewers, and the grilled cottage cheese appetizer. Everything was full of flavor. The server was a local and was very friendly and pleasant which is not always the case. There are many restaurant options here in the old city but this is by far the best overall. Eat here you will NOT be disappointed.

Stumbled across this place for dinner, they managed to seat us despite us not having a reservation. We were eager to try a black risotto while in Dubrovnik but most places could only make it with cream, and we’re lactose intolerant. The waiter said they don’t make their risotto with cream anyways and they can just hold off on topping it with parmesan. This was music to our ears!! We ordered the risotto and some oysters. They kindly split the risotto between two dishes and it was so delicious and fun to eat. The oysters were good too. Excellent and kind service! One of the best meals during our time here.

A Must-Try Spot in Dubrovnik’s Old Town Oscar Street Food was recommended to us by our walking tour guide, and I’m so glad we listened. This place is truly amazing! The highlight for me was the squid ink risotto — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The anchovies were also excellent. Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and portion sizes make it completely worth it. Located right in the busy Old Town, it does get quite crowded, but we went for a late lunch and had a fantastic experience. Everything about this place was great — from the food to the lively atmosphere. I would absolutely go back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
